**Please Note: This guide is for MetroMail secure email, only.
Step 1: Access the email section on your Android device.
Step 2: Select "Other" for email provider.
Step 3: Enter your full email address (name@domain.com) and password for that email address.
Step 4: Choose either IMAP or POP for your accuont type. IMAP will show the emails from the server and keep them there. This allows you to check your email from multiple devices. POP will download the emails to that device and remove them from the server. This means you can ONLY check email from that one device. We suggest setting up an IMAP account so you can check your emails from anywhere.
Step 5: Enter your incoming server settings. The settings will be as follows:
Server Name: The server that was included in your login details email (it will look something like xxxxxx.hostmetro.com)
Security Type: SSL
Port Number: 993 for IMAP, 995 for POP
Username: Your full email address (name@domain.com)
Password: The password for that email address
Step 6: Enter your outgoing server settings. The settings will be as follows:
Server Name: The same as your incoming server
Security Type: SSL
Port Number: 465
Username: Your full email address (name@domain.com)
Password: The password for that email address
Hit net and you should be able to connect successfully through your device. You should now be able to send and receive email.
